2020 V Slot - Tank mount

End mounts for 2020 V-slot aluminium rail, designed as part of the Ai Blade reef aquarium light mounting system. Available in a range of heights (100mm to 200mm) and sized to suit different aquarium glass thicknesses — select the variant that matches your setup.

To determine the rail length you need, measure the outside dimensions of your tank — that measurement is your required rail length. Note: the 2020 V-slot rail is not included and must be sourced separately.

The mounts are designed to support the rail from both ends only. The fit of the rail is firm — push one end onto the rail and gently tap it on until it stops moving, then repeat on the opposite end. An optional screw hole is provided if you would like to secure the end to the rail.

Note: 100mm end mounts position the light at or slightly below the top of the glass depending on the angle set. For tanks with a high water level, we recommend the 120mm or higher models to avoid splashing.

Is the 2020 V-slot rail included?

No — the rail is not included and must be sourced separately. The rail length you need is equal to the outside dimensions of your tank.

How do I choose the right height?

Heights range from 100mm to 200mm. The 100mm model positions the light at or slightly below the top of the glass, so we recommend 120mm or higher if your water level is high to avoid splashing. Select the height that positions your light where you need it.

How do I choose the right glass thickness variant?

Select the variant that matches your aquarium glass thickness. The mount is sized to grip the glass securely without tools.

How do I install the rail?

Push one end mount onto the rail and gently tap it on until it stops moving, then repeat on the opposite end. An optional screw hole is provided if you want to fix the mount to the rail permanently.

What material is it made from?

Black versions are printed in PETG-CF (carbon fibre reinforced PETG) for added rigidity. White and grey versions are printed in standard PETG. Both offer good UV resistance and durability for aquarium environments.
