1. Product Purpose
The Ai Blade Mount Bracket for 2020 V-Slot supports Ai Blade reef aquarium lights from a standard 20 × 20 mm V-slot aluminium rail. Each kit includes an Ai Blade holder and a rail-mount half. Their geared faces lock together at the selected light angle.
A minimum of two bracket kits is required per light. The rail and tank-side end mounts are supplied separately.
2. Bracket Quantity by Ai Blade Length
| Ai Blade Length | Minimum Bracket Kits |
|---|---|
| 13 inch | 2 |
| 21 inch | 2 |
| 30 inch | 3 |
| 39 inch | 4 |
| 48 inch | 5 |
| 57 inch | 6 |

Use at least the quantity shown and distribute the brackets along the light for even support.
3. Materials
- Black: PETG-CF carbon-fibre reinforced PETG.
- White: PETG-GF glass-fibre reinforced PETG.
Both PETG-CF and PETG-GF provide good UV resistance and durability for aquarium environments.
4. Before Assembly
- Confirm the bracket quantity matches the light length.
- Inspect every holder, rail mount and geared face.
- Confirm the rail is straight and free from sharp burrs.
- Keep the light away from the aquarium while assembling the rail system.
5. Install the Brackets on the Rail
- Fit the first tank-side end mount to one rail end.
- Slide every required Ai Blade rail-mount half onto the open rail end.
- Move the rail mounts to their approximate positions.
- Fit the second tank-side end mount only after all bracket rail mounts are on the rail.
Important: The bracket rail mounts cannot slide onto the rail after both tank end mounts are fitted. If access is required, carefully wiggle one tank end mount back and forth while pulling it away from the rail until it comes off. Do not lever it sideways or force it sharply.
6. Set the Bracket Angle
- Align the geared faces of the Ai Blade holder and rail-mount half.
- Select the required angle by rotating the two halves.
- Push the geared halves together evenly until fully engaged.
- Repeat for every bracket and use the same intended angle.
- If permanent angle retention is required, use the optional screw hole with suitable hardware. Do not overtighten or distort the parts.
7. Attach the Ai Blade
- Securely position the rail assembly above the aquarium.
- Align the light bar with every holder.
- Clip the light into the holders one at a time while supporting it.
- Confirm every holder is fully engaged and the light is evenly supported.
- Position the brackets, route the cable without strain, and check clearance from water, lids and equipment.
8. Angle Adjustment
- Support and remove the light before changing the angle.
- Wiggle the geared halves apart carefully.
- Rotate to the new angle and push the halves together until fully engaged.
- Set every bracket supporting the same light to a matching angle.
- Refit the light and recheck support and clearances.
9. Care and Inspection
- Clean with a wet or damp soft cloth, then dry before refitting.
- Remove salt deposits before they harden.
- Inspect the holders, rail mounts, geared faces and optional hardware periodically.
- Remove a bracket from service if cracked, distorted, loose or no longer gripping securely.
